The audience are taken on a musical adventure to find Peter Rabbit with a retelling of five of Beatrix Potter's famous stories along the way. With the help of music, puppets, songs and dance the Tales of Mr Jeremy Fisher, Mrs, Tiggy Winkle, Jemima Puddleduck and Mr Tod are brought to life finishing with the most loved tale of all - The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
The cast were incredibly talented and the detail and movement of the puppets was wonderful - it was like they had sprung out of the pages of the book. The set was inspired by Beatrix Potter's beautiful drawings and there were guest voice overs from Miriam Margoyles and Griff Rhys Jones.
Beatrix Potter's stories really do translate beautifully in this production and have been very thoughtfully adapted. The show evoked many feelings of nostalgia from my own childhood; it was wonderful to share the tales that I enjoyed with my own children and in their enjoyment of the play.
